The lid is securely locked by nickel-plated metal latches, and an additional layer of security is provided by a lock and set of keys.

Two grooves on the top of the Stanley 50-gallon chest can be used to lay a plank of wood over them and use a saw. The practical portability is provided by two wheels and a pull-out steel handle with a cushioned, pleasant grip. Heavy-duty rubber is also used to cover the wheels. The lid of the Stanley 037025H 50-Gallon Mobile Chest has a sizable work surface and two 2" x 4" saw grooves.
